International Congress: "Realist Phenomenology Josef Seifert & the Christian Tradition"

international congress2015

The Institute of Philosophy Edith Stein- International Academy of Philosophy

Seminario Diocesano
Paseo de Cartuja 49, Granada (Spain)

We are glad to inform you that we are celebrating the 70th birthday of Prof. Josef Seifert with an International Congress on Realist Phenomenology.

We think that the immense and still dynamically growing philosophical oeuvre of Josef Seifert is certainly worth rethinking and continuing. The purpose of the upcoming congress is not just a critical evaluation of Seifert’s contribution to Western Philosophy; we would like to highlight those aspects, ideas and principles that would constitute important elements of a Christian philosophy capable of meeting some of the challenges the Church has to face in the 21st century.

In order to elaborate these elements concerning the diverse fields Seifert was and is involved in, we invited twelve internationally recognized experts as keynote speakers. Please, join us in celebrating Prof. Josef Seifert through the common endeavor: a thorough analysis of realist phenomenology in a Christian perspective.
